Project Objective:

Mozambique Timber Farming Group’s objective is to create the first integrated sustainable plantation forestry enterprise in Mozambique which commercially exports plantation grown eucalyptus hardwood to international markets in a sustainable fashion and with the potential for exponential future growth.

ProgressTo date:

On the forestry farming side, IFM has planted over 6300 ha of eucalyptus plantations to date, whilst our export facility, the MozFibra Beira harbor site is now also fully functional and was used for the first export of 22,000 tons eucalyptus pulpwood in June.

The Future:

During Phase Two of the project MTF team will increase own plantings to 20 000 and construct and commission the wood chipping facility in Beira Port.
